Lady Tigers ride strong first half to fourth win
RICHMOND- The Lawrenceburg Lady Tigers faced off with the Richmond Lady Red Devils and earned their fourth win of the season. Lizzie Redar led the way for LHS putting up 20 points in the contest.
Lawrenceburg went up early and led 16-9 after the first period. The Lady Tigers defense shutdown Richmond holding them to just a single field goal in the second period, while putting up 20 points to take a 36-11 lead into the locker room at the half. Lawrenceburg added 20 more points in the second half while holding Richmond’s offense to just 11 points. Lawrenceburg earned a 55-22 win and moves to 4-2 on the season.
Redar’s 20-point night was also accompanied by 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Aubree Labazzo posted 13 points, going 2 for 3 on three pointers, and collected 7 steals. Kamryn Ferreira scored 8 points and snagged three steals for herself, Brooklyn Craig and Natalie Knigga each added 5 each, and Nicole Houze rounded out the Lady Tigers scoring with 4 points. Lawrenceburg will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Batesville (4-4) for an EIAC contest at 7:30. They host Connersville on Saturday.
