Tough start for Lions with an 0-2 weekend

A tough start for Lions to the season is something that fans might be getting familiar with. For the third season in a row, Rushville has now started the season 0-3. The Lions saw an 0-12 start in 2020 and went on a six-game skid to begin last season, before finally getting a win over Centerville on Dec. 18. This season started with a 10-point loss to a good Shelbyville that showed promise. The Lions unfortunately couldn’t hang with the Spartans on Friday losing by 25, and a 37-point loss on Saturday has the Lions giving up an average of 63 points per game. Rushville will look for their first win this Friday when they travel to Brookville to take on Franklin County (3-0) at 7:30pm.
