East Central wins Super Duels, Rushville goes 4-1
On Saturday the Trojans hosted the East Central Super Duels with eight teams battling for the title. Four EIAC teams attended with Lawrenceburg going 0-1, Batesville 0-2, Rushville went 4-1 losing only to East Central who went 5-0.

RUSHVILLE – Rushville wrestling managed to rally for a 4-1 finish at the East Central Super Duals Saturday despite missing five varsity regulars to begin and two more exiting during the meet.
“I am so proud of our wrestlers for their willingness to do what was needed for our team’s success,” said coach Jim Tush. “This is a great example of how wrestling is a team sport.”
RCHS defeated Guerin Catholic (58-18), Switzerland County (42-36), Batesville (43-42) and Cambridge City Lincoln (52-24). The loss came to the hosts, 57-24.
Kian Nash won four times (3 pins, forfeit) at 126 pounds. At 132, Tuff Tackett brought home four wins (major decision, pin, 2 forfeits). Sam Pavey was a 4-time winner at 170, earning 2 pins and 2 forfeits. Eli Pavey won twice at 160, both by pins, adding a forfeit win at 152.
Matthew Komlanc had a pin and major decision at 160. Blake Hunt pinned two foes in 106 lb action, adding a pin and forfeit at 113. Logan Jacobs picked up 2 forfeits at 113 and one at 106. At 285, Jordan Collins won a forfeit and pin. Jack Barnes won 2 forfeits at 182 and another at 195. Kaleb Amos earned 2 forfeits at 195. Hunter Parmerlee did the same, one each at 138 and 145. Trent Dyer had a pin at 152. Kyle Jacobs had a forfeit win at 120. Wyatt Jacobs won a forfeit at 138 and pin at 145.
BATESVILLE – BHS Wrestling fought hard at the East Central 8-way going 15-10 in individual matches but went 1-4 due to giving up 5 to 7 forfeits each dual. The bulldogs started the day with a 18-64 loss to East Central with Damien Dance, Andrew Jones, and Max Amberger winning by pin. In the second round the bulldogs fell short to Lawrenceburg 30-33 David Maher and Damien Dance winning by pin while AJ Dance, John Dirkhising, and Andrew Jones received forfeits. The Bulldogs pick up a 42-30 win against Cambridge City Lincoln in the 3rd round with Brady Wonnel and Damien Dance winning by pin while AJ Dance, Cade Simonson, David Maher, John Dirkhising, and Andrew Jones winning by forfeit. The fourth round saw the bulldog tie with Rushiville but losing the criteria tie breaker based on forfeits making the score 42-43. 6 Bulldogs won by pin with Cade Simonson, David Maher, Brady Wonnell, Damien Dance, John Dirkhising, and Max Amberger picking up falls while Andrew Jones received a forfeit. The final round saw the bulldogs Lose in a close dual to Guerin Catholic 30-32 with Damien Dance winning by pin while David Maher, Brady Wonnel, John Dirkhising, and Max Amberger received forfeits. Damien Dance went 5-0 while John Dirkhising went 4-0. Andrew Jones and David Maher went 4-1. The Bulldogs move to 4-14 and 2-8 in EIAC competition. The Bulldogs will travel to Switzerland County on Tuesday December 20th for a dual.
