Greensburg Lady Pirates win sixth in a row

The Greensburg Lady Pirates hosted the Seymour Lady Owls on Tuesday evening. The Lady Bucs went up early in the game leading 23-11 after the first frame. Seymour added 15 in the second frame with GCHS scoring 10. The Lady Pirates added 21 points in the third frame and 21 more in the fourth quarter, while the Lady Owls scored 17 in the third and matched Greensburg’s 21 in the fourth.  The Lady Pirates secured their sixth win in a row with the 75-64 victory. Four Lady Bucs scored in double figures with Aly Powers leading the way with 20-points, 7 assists, and 4 steals, Leah West dropped 19-points and grabbed 8 rebounds, Carlee Adams scored 17-points, hitting 4 of 6 from deep. Mary Harmon added 10 points with five assists. Greensburg will play next on the road versus Danville (11-2) on the 29th. The Lady Bucs now sit at 9-4 on the season. After Danville, Greensburg will play in the Plainfield Winter Classic on December 30th. The open the tournament against Indianapolis Roncalli at 11:30am.  Also scoring in the game for GCHS was Emma McQueen with 7 and Sarah Stapp 2.
