Bucs won’t see a repeat as Wettig Champs
RICHMOND- The Greensburg Pirates split their day one games at the 16th annual Wettig Tourney in Richmond on Tuesday. They opened with a 63-49 loss to Seton Catholic. The loss kept them out of the Gold Bracket and without a chance to repeat as Champs. Addison Barnes-Pettit led the Bucs in scoring 13-points in the contest. The Pirates fell behind early, outscored 9-4 in the first frame, they tacked on 23 in the second quarter to take a 27-22 lead at the half. 13 more points in the third period from the Bucs had them 40-39 at the start of the fourth quarter. A huge quarter from the Cardinals saw them add 24-points in the frame while Greensburg only managed nine points.
The Bucs second game result was much better than the first with a 64-34 win over Monroe Central. Jack McKinsey had a great game putting up 25 points in the win. He was followed by Ki Dyer and Bradley Lutz who each added 12-points in the game.
