L-Burg wins seventh in a row

The Lawrenceburg Tigers are on a hot streak and a win over Jac-Cen-Del on Saturday moves them 12-3 on the season and gave them their seventh straight win. The Eagles got the first basket of the game, but the Tigers then went on a 12-0 run over the next six minutes with Logan Rohrer knocking down threes and Ben and Sam Cornett scoring at will. The Eagles added two last minute baskets in the period but the Tigers finished the first quarter up 15-8. Lawrenceburg held the Eagles to just six-points in the second quarter while adding 18 more to their tally to go into the half up 33-14. 11-points in the third quarter from the Eagles and the Tigers both had the score at 44-25 going into the final frame. The Eagles came out in the fourth quarter and went on a 6-0 run. Rohrer hit a three-pointer to stop the run and Cooper Bobo hit from deep also to put the Tigers up by 17. Lawrenceburg closed out the game from the charity stripe with Bobo and B. Cornet each cashing in on their shots to put the game away with a 56-42 win.
Rohrer led the Tigers in scoring with 20, B. Cornet 9, S. Cornet 8, Bobo 8, Charlie Meyer 6, Ethan Casebolt 3, and Gerrold Taylor 2.
The Tigers will have an EIAC matchup on Friday when the host Greensburg who is on a five-game win streak.
