Wildcats losing streak continues

FC’s skid grew to seven with Saturday afternoon’s 69-59 home loss to Edinburgh. The Cats last lost seven straight between the end of the 2020-21 campaign and start of the next season.
The Lancers have consistently been among the top Class A teams in the state over the last few years. They improved to 12-5 with a 26-point effort by Caleb Dewey.
FC had a nice day on offense. Three players got over the double-digit plateau for FC – Gillman led with 14, Weartz added 13 and Butt a dozen. Xander Rodriguez got into the action with 5; Ertel, Morehead and Johnson had 4 each and Blake Stephenson posted 3.
Jackson Hartwell added 11 and Jarrett Turner and Conner Ramey 10 apiece for the guests.
FC (8-10) has a double weekend coming up, hosting Greenfield-Central Friday and traveling to Victory College Prep on the southeast side of Indianapolis Saturday night.
