Lady Knight start season 1-0

The South Dearborn Lady Knights won their opening game against Harrison on Monday night. SD didn’t score until the fourth inning when Lauren Musgrove knocked in Cory Lee. They added two more runs in the fifth inning. Carli Walter scored on a Kori Cornett sacrifice fly and Haley Land scored on an Emma Seaver single. Cornett pitched a complete game, striking out four,  giving up two hits, and walking four. Harrison scored a run in the seventh inning, but the Lady Knights pulled out a 3-1 victory to start the season.

South Dearborn picked up seven hits and had just one strikeout on offense. They are back in action on Saturday when they host Cambridge City Lincoln at 1pm and then face Taylor at 3pm.
